The Tampa Bay Buccaneers came into the offseason with a very clear idea of what was lacking on defense. They wanted to get bigger, more physical and, nastier in their front seven. With the additions of Rueben Bain Jr., Al-Quadin Muhammad, A'Shawn Robinson and Josiah Trotter, they certainly seem to have accomplished that. At times last season, the Bucs' pass rush looked complacent and passive. The revamped group has taken away many of those concerns, and if the first few weeks of training camp have shown us anything, it is that this group intends on being bullies in the schoolyard. Todd Bowles' defense blitzed on 35 percent of snaps last season, the third-highest rate in the league, yet produced a paltry 37 sacks. Tampa Bay was aggressive about bringing pressure, but too often relied on blitz packages to create it. That has to change. The secondary should be better this season.
